HOW IT USUALLY WORKS
Hook: Fake billing alert with a specific dollar amount to create urgency.
Engagement: If you call the number, attackers will often:
Pretend to be Apple Support or your bank.
Ask for personal or financial info (Apple ID, password, credit card details).
Convince you to install “remote support” tools that let them access your device.
Pressure you into transferring money to a “safe account” they control.
Outcome: Victims may hand over sensitive data, give attackers access to devices, or lose money directly.
WHAT TO DO
Do not call the number or reply to the message.
Check your Apple account directly through the official Apple ID website or the Apple Support app.
Block the sender on your phone.
Delete the message after taking a screenshot (if you want to report it).
