Phishing: a message that pretends to be from a trusted company (Coinbase) in order to trick you into handing over security codes or account details.

HOW IT USUALLY WORKS
Hook: A fake security alert that makes you think someone is trying to withdraw funds from your account.
Engagement: If you click the link, attackers may:
Direct you to a fake “Coinbase support” number or site.
Pressure you to hand over login credentials, 2FA codes, or personal info.
Drain your crypto wallet once they have access.
Outcome: Victims lose access to their Coinbase account and funds, often permanently.
WHAT TO DO
Do not reply to the message.
Do not call the number or share the code with anyone.
If you have a Coinbase account, log in directly through the official app or website to check activity.
Enable strong 2FA (with an authenticator app, not SMS).
Block the sender and delete the message after taking a screenshot (if you want to report it).
